PEONY CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Upon arrival, immediately remove peonies from the shipping box, cut the stems at an angle, then place in a vase with water and the floral preservative provided. Protect from excessive heat.

Your peonies will open 48 hours after you place them in a vase with water at room temperature. The cooler the room and water, the longer it will take your peonies to open. 70 degrees is ideal. 

Do not store your peonies with vegetables or fruits. The ethylene gasses they give off will decrease vase life for your peonies.

Be sure not to overcrowd and leave plenty of room in container for buds to open.


Your peonies will take lots of water. Keep containers filled with water as necessary. Check daily. Changing water and re-cutting stems every 3 days will prolong the vase life for your peonies.
